self-evaluation

Many people say I looked so serious and unfriendly when I don’t smile. But actually, I am an easygoing person as long as you are familiar with me. When I decide to do one thing, I will persistently carry through the work to the end, and do it with patience. I always adhere to principles that do not bother others and be kind-hearted. Being influenced by my family, I am enthusiastic about helping those who are in need, being responsible for everything I did.
After school, I would stay at school and review lessons in class with my classmates, so we could discuss what we didn’t understand about the class. Moreover, I would play volleyball with friends in order to win the intramural volleyball game, since I was selected as a member of participants in my class. However, I didn’t play very well, and I was a little afraid of playing volleyball with my teammates. Despite my recreance, they still pointed out my mistakes for correction patiently. This experience had taught me a lesson that never shrink back from difficulties.

School life-revised

I am studying at Department of Applied Foreign Languages in National Tainan Commercial Vocational Senior High School. I’m glad to choose the NTCVS as my senior high school. It’s a pleasure to befriend my classmates. They are always willing to bear me a hand when I encountered difficulties. We study together and encourage each other to be more hard-working. Teaching and learning promote each other. Hence, we all make great progress in English.
I served as the head of the cleaning crew as a freshman and served as the treasurer when I am a senior. As the head of the cleaning crew, I needed to ensure everyone has done their clean-up work and keep our class clean. Moreover, when I was the treasurer in our class, I needed to take care of our class fees. These experiences help me learn how to be more responsible to anything. Furthermore, I also learned how to cooperate with my classmates harmoniously in order to make our class better. And I realized that it was not easy to lead a whole class to finish one thing, it needed everyone’s coordination. It’s really a worthy experience.

Family Background-revised

My name is Pei-Yin, Jiang. I was born in a harmonious family. There are five people in my family, including my parents, one brother, one younger sister, and me. My father is a board mould master worker. He is an easygoing person. I learn to treat people kindly and always be enthusiastic about helping people from him. Furthermore, he also teaches me that harmony is most precious. He is the person who I admire most. My mother is an efficient career woman, who is a female tycoon in my eyes. Her motto is “Failure is nothing to be ashamed of. What’s shameful is losing motivation because of it.” Consequently, she always stirs me to try out everything courageously, and always reminds me about that everyone makes mistakes, so do not be afraid. My brother and sister are students. When we encounter difficulties, we would give each other a hand. Brought up in such a nice family, I have become a responsible, honest and mild-mannered person.

I have been the class English tutor for almost three years. I like to discuss and share the experience of learning English with people a lot. We often read “China Post” and ”Time Magazine” and discuss the content, the word usage and practice speaking English by discussing the articles we have read. At the beginning we found it was quiet hard because we could rarely understand the content but we encouraged each other not to give up. Hence bookstores became my playground and books have been my playmates since I was young. My mom would show me those fancy books with cute illustrations on it. Firstly I was drawn by the pictures and then I was curious about these strange symbols called words. That was my first contact with English. As I was interested what those symbol meant, my parents taught me a bit. As they felt that I was eager to learn, they found me an English tutor. I can also do little contribution to awaking the awareness of culture and literature in our society since its importance has been neglected by us.
